This marvelous collection of fold-out plates was published in 1921 to accompany Douglas Wilson Johnson’s Battlefields of the World War: Western and Southern Fronts A Study in Military Geography. The cartographic supplement (sadly, the accompanying text is lacking) contains ten sheets (3 panoramic photographs and seven maps) that cover battlefields including Flanders, the Somme, Marne, and Verdun. Issued as No. 3 in the American Geographical Society Research Series.
