WA Flexible Discs - Grinding (Type 27 Depressed Centre) Designed for use on stainless steel, flexible discs are used for light grinding and blending of steel fabrication welds. Flexible discs comes in various grit sizes to achieve different types of finish on the workpiece. The depressed centre design allows the flange/lock nut to recess within the wheel so that it can be used for various grinding and cutting applications. A special backing pad must be used (included in each standard pack) in conjunction with these wheels. Depressed centre wheels may also be referred to as raised hub wheels.
